•Identified over $1 million in unclaimed tax deductions on Schedule K-1's from real estate partnerships that were incorrectly stated as nondeductible expenses. Resulted in over $400,000 in tax refunds for the clients.

•Acted as repair regs champion for a midsize firm. Advised clients, wrote memorandums and conducted seminars on the new capitalization regs including provisions that could help the clients.

•Reviewed tax returns of an S Corporation with over $90 million in gross receipts and filings in 50 state and local jurisdictions. Resulted in properly prepared returns.

•Advised client with regard to sale of a multi-million dollar construction company. Prepared computation valuing business for use as a bargaining tool. Successfully obtained optimal allocation of sales price. Resulted in substantial increase in after-tax cash flow to the client.

•Researched passive activity grouping and disposition rules for a firm's wealthiest individual tax client. Advised client on how to regroup her rental real estate activities so as to maximize the tax losses on the sale of her rental real estate properties. Resulted in substantial tax savings for the client.

•Prepared detailed statement for the IRS on behalf of a new corporate client requesting that the accumulated earnings tax not be assessed for client's prior tax years. Resulted in the complete abatement of all proposed deficiencies.
