Master of Aerospace Mechanical Engineering GPA:3.71/4 2016.01-2017.12 University of Southern California (USC), Los Angeles, CA, US(Rank top 5% over 83) Courses: Engineering Vibrations, Advanced Engineering Dynamics, Engineering Analysis, Computer Control of Mechanical Systems, Linear Control Systems
Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering GPA:3.50/4 2011.09-2015.06 Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications (BUPT), Beijing, China (Rank top 10% over 89) Courses: Finite Element Method, Digital Manufacturing, Mechanics of Materials, Mechanical Design Work Experience
Advanced Manufacturing Center of USC (Los Angeles, USA) 2016.09-Present Research Assistant
Fabricated micro structures (optical filter & waterproof) using 3D printing machine with sliced images under UV lights.
Designed different sustainable resin materials (hydrogel, rubber and glass) for projects and tested exposure time.
Set up a new 3D printing machine combined FDM with SLA, flashed GRBL into Arduino CNC Shield, and applied motion control to 4 axis.
Achievement
Reduced SLA printing layer height from 100 micros to 30 micros and improved 300% the printing accuracy.
Improved printing micro structures on arbitrary uneven or rounded surfaces instead of an even platform. Ewaybot (Beijing, China) 2016.05-2016.09
Mechanical Engineering Assistant
Performed FEA for robot shell and gear set in motors using Workbench in Ansys. Solved different joint-methods between shells using ProE, and molded the ABS model using 3D printer and CNC.
Assembled the whole MoRo Robot with an omni chassis and a linear guide platform with a lead screw. Designed and sketched PCB for motor driving using Protel.
Achievement
Designed Mechanical Structure of MoRo Robot which is awarded as one of the 10 best robots over 400 in CES 2017 by ROBOTICS TRENDS.
Project Experience
A project of face tracking device 2014.05-2015.04
Group leader of 7 members
Took in charge of mechanical structure design of a 2-dimension platform, motion control of 2 motors and the transplantation of the embedded system (Fedoral 10 and OpenCV ) into an ARM9 board to accomplish picture processing and face capture.
Achievement
Reduced the face capture and face tracking reaction time from 1s to 0.1s by simplifying calling statement. A project of Saxophone Robot 2013.05-2014.04
Director of a 10-member-group
Designed and assembled the body, arms and finger part of the Robot, developed the motion control of the finger part and succeeded in playing a complete song.
Achievement
Improved 90% the seal of robot mouth which makes the volume lower and the song more pleasant to listen. According to the structure of saxophone increased 6 more dimensions for fingers in order to play more complicated songs.
Won the First Prize in the Beijing University Innovation Project Election Contest over 92 teams. Skills & Language
