KEMET ELECTRONICS CORP., Simpsonville, SC July 2006 – Present
A global manufacturer of over 250,000 part configurations capacitors including tantalum, multilayer ceramic, solid and electrolytic aluminum, and film and paper capacitors.
Senior New Product Development Engineer
Led the successful development and launch of new, first-to-market capacitors while adhering to aggressive time constraints. Managed, trained, and directed staff of multi-level technicians to implement processes in accordance with new product development standards and quality methodologies.
Provided project management through leadership of technology and direction of experiments for new product development projects including the use of Six Sigma methods and analysis (DFMEA and DOEs) to streamline product development. Analysis tools include the use of Minitab software.
Managed activities to simultaneously develop diverse projects while maintaining a hands-on role for smooth project completion. Projects included new material development and scale-up and new capacitor part numbers for first-to-market applications.
