Title: Performance and Testing of Instant Solar Water Heater

Project Details

Solar energy which falls on the earth is at a considerably low intensity and therefore it cannot be used directly for power consumption. The energy has to be collected in a fluid or other process. In our project we had made use of closed glass chamber .The chamber consists of a copper tube of dia.10mm and length 3.5m.The copper is coated black and consists of 8 turns. As the sunlight falls at the parabolic collector, it gets concentrated at the focus point it gets radiated in the upward direction. The glass chamber is approximately hung at a position where there is maximum concentration of the radiated ray. As water is provided from the inlet, the temperature gets risen in the glass chamber and results to heating of water.
