Duties:

Duties includes performing work of moderate difficulty in a warehouse environment as well as work of a technical nature to accomplish all phases of moving, storing, picking and packing of material for storage and shipment.

Establishes Priorities and workload management of requisitions sent to specific locations, which includes: Checking various volumes up on receipt and issue.

Records, groups, and lists by category and expiration dates and conducting Inventories. Receives, unloads and processes incoming shipments reporting overage, shortage, or damaged conditions.

Seeks for lateral support and locates cross-agency sources of supply to ensure assets are available for issue when required.

Material Handling Equipment includes a variety of equipment and requires ability to work at heights up to 40 feet while operating equipment.

Uses Radio Frequency hand held device to pick.

Performs inspections on materials as per Defense Distribution Center, Norfolk (DDNV-N) Regulations.

Operate a variety of vehicles with a gross weight of less than 26,001 pounds. Make operational inspections and keep vehicles clean.

Organize and select the location to store material in accordance with the general warehouse plan.

Packs and repacks various parts, tools and equipment by cushioning, arranging them and wrapping in specific prefabricated cartons, boxes or/and crates taking in consideration on the size, weight, fragility and mode of transportation.

Verify material receipt documents for accuracy.

Transfer materials to and from storage as per customer requirements.

Participate in meetings and provide material updates as needed.

Receives and processes MILSTRIP status updates and advises the Industrial Customer on adverse status.
