SPX Genfare, Elk Grove Village, Illinois 10/2006 – 12/2016

An industry leader in providing intelligent fare solutions to the transit agencies in North America.

Director, Human Resources. Reporting to the President of SPX Genfare. Responsibilities include supporting all Human Resources activities at Genfare as well as additional HR support for the SPX Chicago Distribution Center and Radiodetection North America.

Successfully transformed the business from that of an equipment supplier to one of a system integrator in order to dominate market share in the industry.

Contributed to the development and execution of the Employee Relations Review program resulting in improved employee relations and a union free environment in many divisions of SPX.

Manage the Safety Management System Evaluation Program with the injury rate trending downward over the past several years resulting in improved employee morale and cost reduction.

$180 million in sales first tier automotive hub bearing manufacturing company.

Corporate Manager, Human Resources. Reporting to the President of ANBM. Responsible for all Human Resources, Safety and Environmental activities for two manufacturing facilities and local corporate office.

Contributed to the reduction of labor costs by reducing manpower and reorganizing support departments, which included a 30% reduction in the HR department.

Reduced the Short Term Disability costs from $135,000 per year to $72,000 per year by developing a Wellness program and a return to work policy.

Developed a company attendance Policy resulting in absence percentage dropping by two percentage points and reducing overall overtime costs.

Implement a Suggestion System and Presidential Award program resulting in employee contribution and savings of $50,000 to $100,000 annually.

Aggressively pursed changes in Workers Compensation company policies and procedures which reduced overall costs as well as the accident rate.
