Responsible for the oversight and direction of all operations, finances, financial aid, facilities, business office, career services, security, human resource, events, banking and IT functions.
The year prior to my arrival the college was in severe financial distress. Through tight fiscal controls we finished the 2010-2011fiscal year with over $580K in reserves while generating a net profit of over $75K.
Developed and implemented computer and telecommunication strategy for the entire college. This included new server, lab computers, wireless, telecommunications, and networked projectors.
July 2011 the finance team identified a $135K contractual error that had been missed by the previous four senior management teams for the past seven years that put college at financial risk. Resolved the issue and paid off debt in full without incurring any penalties.
Identified and implemented over $136K in cost savings during 1st Quarter 2012 for 2011-2012 Fiscal Year.
Responsible for the college’s $2.8MM Budget.

Directed operations for two Development Managers, a Compliance Specialist and a Coordinator; oversaw a team of 78 Directors of Career Services and their staffs. Directed the standardization of all operations related to Career Services including policies, procedures, training and development of marketing materials, as well as disclosure documentation related to graduate employment and lead development and compliance for over 83 schools nationwide. P&L of $525K.
Within two years turned around declining graduate employment numbers from a low of 67% to 76% for all schools; and an 81% increase in the last year.
Turned around the number of declining schools from 28 schools in 2002 to four schools in 2005 as reported by the Accrediting Council for Independent Colleges and Schools.
Increased average salaries for graduates by 5% in 2005.
Maintained Tuition Default rates at or below 5% during tenure.
Turned around number of Internal Audit issues for all schools from over 120 in 2003 to less than 40 in 2005 through increased staff education and awareness, improved guidelines and direction.
Reduced Disclosure Release Time for the 83 schools and 500+ programs from five months in 2004 to one month in 2006, while simultaneously adding over 15 schools and an additional 200 programs nationally. This also occurred while reducing the responsible team from three to two members.
