PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Working as a radiologist in Maternity and children hospital as senior registrar give me a long experience mainly in pediatric cases as the hospital is serving all eastern province population in Saudi Arabia.

The radiology department is fully equipped by MRI 1.5 Tesla, MDCT machine, 6 color Doppler US with 3D and 4D capability, digital fluoroscopy, and digital X-ray machines, Bone densitometer, and Mammography unit.

I was responsible for reporting plain X-ray, managing and reporting fluoroscopy cases about 20-30 cases per day. Fluoroscopy studies to rule out congenital anomalies and emergency cases like intestinal obstruction, intussusception and post-operative follow up.

In ultrasound unit I was responsible for reporting different paediatric cases to rule out congenital malformations and routine & emergency cases like acute appendicitis and ovarian and testicular torsion. Also gyn/obst cases for follow up pregnancy and routine and emergency gyn/obst cases. About 30-40 ultrasound cases per day I was responsible for reporting them daily.

MDCT and MRI cases include CNS, MSK, vascular, abdomen and pelvic cases to rule out congenital anomalies, tumors, etc. About ten cases per day I was responsible for reporting and managing them daily.

I hope to get an authorized experience and subspecialty in paediatric radiology.

I started my experience during working in ministry of health hospitals in different imaging modalities as ultrasonography, Doppler sonography, CT, Guided biopsies (U/S & CT), contrast and plain radiography, where CT brain, chest, abdomen, pelvis, and limbs are regularly done. Conventional and Duplex sonography are used in outpatient and inpatient examination where abdominal, obstetric, vascular, and superficial as thyroid, testis, and skeletal sonography were done.

Different radiological procedures are done as IVU, sialography, sinugraphy, GIT Barium studies, Hysterosalbingeography. Interventional procedures as abscesses drainage, taking biopsies either CT or US guided biopsies.

I also worked in the Public Commission of Health Security hospitals in Alex which serving more than 10,000 workers, where emergency cases as head and neck, chest, abdomen, and limbs traumata were dealt with in the radiology department where spiral CT, color Doppler, and conventional x-ray equipments are used in diagnosis.

I started my basic radiological training in Cairo university hospitals as a resident (1994-1997); there were six units; spiral CT, MRI, Interventional angiography, Pediatric, Duplex sonography and GIT studies, emergency CT and uroradiography. The training rotation was every three months to cover these units.

I worked in Riyadh, KSA as a radiologist in a private hospital for about four years(April 1998-Oct 2002). There were color Doppler US machine and a TV flouroscopy, where all cases of gyn/obst, abdomen, vascular Doppler, in addition to contrast studies were routinely done.

I finish my contract in ministry of health and joined Alhabib medical group (HMG) since 27/1/2016 till now. The HMG has different imaging modalities like 1.5 Tesla MRI, 128 MDCT, 6 color Doppler ultrasound machines with digital fluoroscopy and radiography served by PACS and centricity system.

RESEARSHES AND PRESENTATIONS:

The clinical work of my M.Sc. thesis was done in Cairo University Hospitals (18 months) and was about THE ROLE OF CT IN EVALUATION OF BLUNT ABDOMINAL TRAUMA.

I my MD thesis in Zagazig University (30 months). The work was completely supervised by Professor N.A.Mashhour, Professor N.Aly, and Professor Tamer Kamal. The title of the thesis was" TRIPHASIC CT VERSUS POWER COLOR DOPPLER SONOGRAPHY IN EVALUA TlON OF LIVER MASSES"

About fifty cases of different focal hepatic lesions were evaluated by triphasic CT, color Doppler US, and fine needle guided biopsy for pathological confirmation.
