Aegis Flow Technology - Acquisition of valve and specialty pipe manufacturer in La.

Managed site location, lease negotiation, machine and equipment purchases, facility layout, and facility setup in Houston, Texas in support of deal driver initiative to grow sales in southeast Texas.

Coordinated efforts between Aegis and an existing IDEX business in Germany to utilize Aegis as a base for growing German company’s sales in the U.S. Efforts included the development of a marketing and sales plan and assembly of German designed products in the U.S.

Managed all activity, from order attainment to shipment of product. Oversaw customer service, technical services, human resources, material planning, procurement, quality, and operations. Managed startup of manufacturing facility in Suzhou, China. Negotiated lease, hired staff, created business model, managed build-out of office and factory, and implemented business systems. Collaborated with corporation’s business units in the United States and Europe to identify commercial opportunities in China and identify strategy on how to use IDEX China facility secure new business. Worked with business units to establish supply chain, and collaborated with manufacturing and engineering departments to duplicate manufacturing processes in China. Served as liaison between business units and facility in China.

Working with teams from Australia and the Netherlands, established assembly lines and local material sources for shaker and paint dispensing equipment for distribution into the Asian market. Increased sales ten-fold.

Managed the sourcing team in establishing a local material supply chain and assisted in transfer of assembly processes for air-operated diaphragm pumps for the China market. Increased sales by more than 300% in a five year period.

Worked closely with a U.S business unit and their customer (a global supplier of office printers) in establishing a high-volume peristaltic pump assembly operation. Justified establishment of manufacturing facility in export-free zone. Assisted in sourcing, hiring, and implementation of one piece production flow; facility employed staff of 75 and assembled over 500,000 pumps per month. Facility was the first high volume assembly operation for IDEX. Due to the success of this operation, other IDEX business units used the site to secure high volume OEM business with new and existing customers.

By the end of 2005 over fifteen IDEX Business Units were utilizing the China facility to grow sales in Asia.

Vice President of Manufacturing, WARREN RUPP, IDEX CORPORATION, Mansfield, Ohio.

Managed all facets of operations, material management, and human resources. Handled planning and procurement of materials, machine shop, assembly, receiving, shipping and facility management to ensure products produced in accordance with company’s quality standards. Focused on proper material planning to ensure timely shipment of product with lead times of less than five days. Established an assembly operation in Shannon, Ireland, and managed the operations of an acquisition in the United Kingdom. One of the first IDEX companies to introduce Lean Manufacturing and One Piece Flow practices and served as a model for other IDEX business units. Invested and reorganized machines shop to significantly reduce labor costs on machined castings. First IDEX business unit to develop a global sourcing program as an integral part of their business strategy.

Vice President Controller, WARREN RUPP, IDEX CORPORATION. Handled all activity within finance department, including accounts receivable, accounts payable, general ledger, budgeting and forecasting, financial statement preparation, cost accounting, inventory control, and internal audit controls. Worked closely with executive office to ensure proper reporting of financial statements. Established spreadsheets and processes used for future acquisitions to assist in financial integration.
