PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
COLLABERA, Inc (Contractor to Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Houston) 4/16 - 7/16
COMPUTATIONAL FLUID DYNAMICS ENGINEER
• Built the detailed CFD models based on FloTherm for the Apollo Gen 10 servers
containing Intel Skylake processors to simulate the cooling schemes (heat sinks,
cold plates, two fluids, fans etc.); successful in correlating the test data with the
model results
GENERAL ELECTRIC, Cincinnati 2012 - 2016
ADVANCED LEAD ENGINEER (Thermal Systems Design Group)
Performed the Steady State and Transient Thermal Analyses of the Rotor/Stator Secondary flow Systems Aero-derivative Gas Turbines.
Steered the Global Thermal Systems Design Teams to the successful completion of the Stargate project – carbon capture for the enhanced oil recovery (GE and Sargas, Norway)
Processed the Test Data (Temperatures/Pressures) to evaluate the bearing loads
Acted as the Export Control Focal.
LOCKHEED MARTIN, Houston 2008 - 2011
MECHANICAL STAFF ENGINEER
Developed a thermal model of the Common Controller Device (CCD) containing several electronic components; supported an in-air thermal testing and correlated the test data with the analysis results.
Constructed a Thermal Desktop based thermal models of Environmental Control and Life Support System (ECLSS) components of Crew Exploration Vehicle (CEV); development of stand-alone Active Control Thermal System model of CEV based on FloCAD and SINDA/FLUINT.
SPACEHAB, Inc., Houston 2005 - 2007
LEAD THERMAL ANALYSIS ENGINEER
Performed the detailed thermal analysis of SPACEHAB module (STS-116), Fixed Grapple Bar/Flight Supplied Equipment (STS-121), Adjustable Mass Plate (STS-116), Miniature Mass Spectrometer and Service Module Debris Panel Assembly (STS-116) by utilizing Thermal Desktop to calculate the radiative conductances and SINDA.
Study of ablative heat shield and Hypersonic Flows for the SPACEHAB Apex Vehicles; Computational Fluid Dynamics analysis to visualize the air flow within the SPACEHAB module.
ADDITIONAL RELEVANT EXPERIENCE 1988-2004
Developed finite element models based on NASTRAN to perform the detailed stress analysis of the several Spacelab components. (Lockheed Martin)
Performed the classical heat transfer analysis and the SINDA modeling of the Spacelab components to certify their performance reliability in the micro-gravity. (Lockheed Martin)
Assisted the NASA technical monitor in building the Space Linear Acceleration Measurement Device: procurement, documentation, operation etc. (Lockheed Martin)
Taught Mathematics including College Algebra, Developmental Math at the Community College. (Alvin Community College)
Performed classical as well as SINDA based thermal analysis of several individual Biomedical experiment boxes and the entire rack for the NASA’s Space station program. (Lockheed Martin)
Developed C/C++ routines to process various databases viz., ORACLE, DB2, MS SQL Server, and Sybase using extensively the SQL and APIs. (Computer Associates)
