The purpose of this work instruction is to define the steps required during the Shipping Clerk’s finalization and preparing skids for pick up activities.
SCOPE
This work instruction applies to all activities necessary to ship product after the shipping packaging process.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Distribution Manager is responsible to comply with and provide overall support to this work instruction.

PROCEDURE
General
The Shipping Dock Personnel will provide the following information of a delivery:
Number of Cartons,
Number of Skids
Weigh for each carton or the total weight of the skid including cartons.
Skid weight (if missing, an average may be used of 40 pounds).
Use the information from the Shipping Dock Personnel to generate a total weight of the skid load.
Bill of Lading.
