Responsible for monitoring activity in the parking lot of the Orthopedic Hospital of Wisconsin. Watch for suspicious activities, and ensure the safety of individuals moving in and out of the lot.
05/2015 to 07/2015 WHELAN SECURITY- Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SECURITY OFFICER- Contracted to patrol the buildings and grounds of Miller Coors. Ensured buildings were locked, and issued parking citations as necessary. Served as a first responder to all types of alarms.
08/2013 to 01/2015 MILWAUKEE COUNTY – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SECURITY OFFICER – Responsible for screening all individuals and personal items entering the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Operated X-ray machines to examine belongings, and completed more thorough inspections when items of a suspicious nature were detected. When people activated metal detectors, used hand wands for further scrutiny. Prepared incident reports. As requested, stayed to secure the building and activate the alarms.
04/2008 to 10/2012 UNITED STATES ARMY RESERVE - Milwaukee, Wisconsin and San Antonio, Texas
COMBAT MEDIC - Completed intensive medic training at Fort Sam Houston from July through November, 2008; earned EMT Basic Certification. Upon completion, assigned to a reserve unit in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
03/2010 to 08/2010 G4S – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SECURITY OFFICER – Provided contract security services as the Milwaukee County Courthouse. Duties were the same as detailed above when employed by Milwaukee County.
04/2007 to 05/2008 ALLIED BARTON – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SECURITY GUARD – Accountable for providing security services at Bucyrus International in South Milwaukee. Patrolled the buildings and grounds, checked machines running without operators for safety issues, ensured there were no unauthorized people in the buildings, and promptly responded to alarms. Controlled traffic at the gates, signed truck drivers and visitors in and out, and gave drivers directions as to where to make deliveries or pick-up loads. Staffed security posts and answered telephone calls on weekends.
06/2004 to 04/2007 SECURITAS – Milwaukee, Wisconsin
SECURITY GUARD – Fulfilled contract security assignments to include at Roundy’s Distribution Center. Responsibilities entailed checking controls on trailers to ensure they were at the correct temperature, directing traffic, and maintaining logs of vehicles entering and exiting the grounds. Monitored interior and exterior camera surveillance systems. At St. Luke’s Medical Center, responsible for patrolling the parking lots and grounds to ensure the safety of people and vehicles. Assigned to Family dollar stores in a loss prevention capacity, and also assigned to M&I facilities, signing in visitors, and performing building patrols.
11/2001 to 12/2003 UNITED STATES ARMY – Fort Irwin Military Reservation, California
MECHANIC – Responsible for initiating repairs on light and heavy duty vehicles, primarily performing major repairs. Received work orders, and replaced parts to include engines and steering columns. In addition, cleaned damaged parts, documented serial numbers when appropriate, and completed paperwork to turn pats over to inspectors.
MILITARY: United States Army Reserve honorably discharged at the rank of E-4, Specialist.
