Highlights:

Managed a $500k PLM software implementation for one of the largest apparel manufactures in Colombia.

Handled the client relationship at all levels, supporting the local distributor.

Delivered Industry conference presentations of PLM applications to engage BPA (business process assessments) for new potential customers.

Created and executed the strategy to increase sales of parts & consumables from $100k to $400k in 10 months, recovering old accounts from competitors.

Responsible for the first installation of a composite (glass fiber) cutting machine and 3D design application, resulting in a $250K implementation.

I was responsible for process documentation and re-engineering in the areas of credit risk and corporate loans using Six Sigma Principles and Lean Manufacturing principles.

Doxum Technologies specialized in VoIP switching and billing systems for prepaid & postpaid long distance call applications; hosted services for broadband telephony, VoIP Wholesale, prepaid calling cards, PC to Phone, call centers and call-shops. I was responsible for strategic planning, business development and operations management to effectively compete with traditional vendors such as; 3Com, Nortel and Avaya.

Highlights:

Launched Billing & switching services to the Canadian, Latin-American and Middle Eastern markets including IP-Telephony (VoIP) and Prepaid Calling Cards.

New business development of more than 300 different calling cards among 5 key customers running the Doxum platform in 3 different countries.

Mercadolibre.com, now associated with e-bay, was the first on-line auction website in Latin-America, initiated with venture capital of $30M to start operations in seven countries. I was responsible from the ground-up for all aspects of establishing this business in Venezuela.

Operations Manager Aug’95 – Jan’00

CONECTEL, INC. – Argentina, Venezuela & Colombia

I was responsible for the complete set up and management of operations and IT departments in 3 countries. Installed the first nationwide satellite network in Colombia for pager transmitters for more than 30 cities in Colombia covering a population of 15 million people. Established the call center for incoming calls, paging and support services with 8 supervisors and 400 agents in three locations; receiving up to 90,000 calls per day.

As a Senior Consultant, I worked on successful strategic planning, logistics and process reengineering, for clients in the Oil/Gas, Retailing and Insurance sectors.
