Experience Summary
During my 6 years of nursing, I have performed the duties of a Medsurg RN. This included dealing with patients with multiple diagnosis and surgical complications. I am proficient with the placing of INTs and collecting blood. I am able to confidently give medications, along with education of the medications given. I do have one year of experience as long term manager and ADON. As manager, I was able to manage a 120 bed unit, while dealing with family and staff issues. I have also learned great flexibility as an Agency RN in the middle Georgia area as a nurse for Psychiatric units and MedSurg floors. I have performed as a Dialysis Charge Nurse overseeing a 32bed unit and directing the staff on daily duties. Recently, I have been in the field of Substance abuse and Mental Health. As a RN, I have learned that you need to be open to new ideas and procedures while being flexible to better your facility.
Strengths
I believe myself to be proficient with dealing with difficult patients and families. I always enter a room with a smile and good manners. I try to carry on professional conversations with my patients while performing the daily task. I am confident with needles when giving medication and blood draws. I am confident with INTs and central lines. I have always been able to perform the daily duties in a timely manner and in their completion. I have good basic computer skills. I believe my flexibility to be of great value to myserlf and my attitude toward teamwork.
