a.SPOC for Requirement gathering, Resource management and work allocation.
b.Suggested SDLC transition from Waterfall to Agile – this has streamlined and stabilized the project to a great extent. Also proposed usage Rally to manage and monitor work allocation and progress.
c.Data Profiling – Examined existing source system to validate adherence to Data Quality standards and for collecting statistics.
d.Data Mining - Data was mined to identify associations. Data items were then grouped according to logical relationships.
e.Data Quality – Put on my QA hat to lead discovery of data inconsistency and come up with corrections. Key points considered were - Severity of inconsistency, Incompleteness, Accuracy, Precision, Missing information.
f.Data Modelling – Re-designing Data warehouse from star schema to snowflake schema to accommodate bottom up approach on the data, maintain normalized data in dimensions, ease of maintenance and better performance.
g.Adopted Exception and bridge tables to promote reusable code and cut down the need for writing custom logic.
h.Implementation of reusable code for time period driven calculation of KPIs at various organization levels.
