Recommend and deliver standard planning/scheduling procedures. Ensure that these procedures fulfil client requirements.
Review and understand all relevant project documentation including scope of services, project execution plan, proposal/project schedule (including manpower projection plan), WBS, conditions of contract and implement them into the Primavera.
Prepare initial project plans to accomplish all work required by the procedures and to ensure that sufficient planning resources are provided.
Direct and control the work of any temporary or permanent staff assigned to work with you. Mentor and develop staff, where appropriate.
Develop and deliver progress reports including curves and etc.
Carry out schedule quality audits on an ad-hoc or routine basis as required.
Assist with Primavera (P6) administration, system development and maintenance.
Prepare Tender Schedule in Primavera as per Statement of Work (SOW). Professional and Industry Experience
Mehdi’s experience in planning, scheduling and monitoring by Primavera (P6) and project management office was gained while working for MAPNA Group is a group of Iranian companies involved in construction and installation of energy production machinery, including boilers, gas and steam turbines, electrical generators, as well as industrial scale petroleum processing installations and wind power before training to be a senior planning engineer. Assigned as a site planning supervisor of PACE Company (Petro Azarpad Consulting Engineers) for offshore project in South Pars phase 12C to finalize the project schedule in Primavera (P6) in corporation with client team IOEC and implement reporting method based on Primavera reports from sub-contractors to the client level and analyse the compact of the delays on project target dates in Primavera. Led the in-depth analysis of delay and disruption to the procurement process and the effect of disrupted procurement on construction phases by Primavera and holding daily meeting with construction team and weekly meeting with client represented at site and monthly progress review meeting with whole project’s stakeholders.
Assigned as part of OPWP (Oman Power & Water Procurement Co.) management team on the Turnkey CCPP projects Sohar II and Barka III in the Sultanate of Oman to review the project deliverables and schedules in Primavera from main contractors (Siemens, GS E&C) and issue high level reports and exception report to management and update client schedule in Primavera (Al Batinah Power Company is the owner of Sohar 2 Power Station, while Al Suwadi Power Company owns Barka 3. The two plants will be operated by Suez- Tractebel Operation and Maintenance Oman LLC (STOMO)).Led the in-depth analysis of delay and disruption to the design process and the effect of disrupted design on procurement and construction phases.
Assigned as senior planning engineer as part of a management team on the $24b Medupi power station (dry- cooled coal-fired power station) to review the project deliverables and corporate on preparing a high level Integrated Master Schedule (IMS) in Primavera to facilitate the communication of project control elements among all project participants.
