I’m responsible for maintaining principle of aseptic techniques, sets up mayo stand, back table and delivery table to facilitate handling of instruments and supplies during surgical procedure/delivery of newborn (vaginal and C-Section). Helps prepare room between patients in a timely manner, delivery specimen to the lab, assists in transporting patients when changing room, stocking the OR and L&D room, assist with vaginal deliveries, maintain logs like refrigerators logs and temperature logs. I set-up the operation room for C-Section surgery, adjusting lights and equipment and other supplies for the surgeons, hold retractors, cut sutures, and help counts sponges, needles, supplies, and instruments. Scrub arms and hands and assist the surgical team to scrub and put on gloves, masks, and surgical clothing. Dispose of tissue specimens taken for laboratory analysis.
