Graphic Designer / Prepress Technician: Create or modify existing literature and artwork in adobe (Illustrator, InDesign or acrobat professional) or Microsoft office (Word, Excel or PowerPoint) and make them print ready or converted them to pdf (Embed fonts & color corrections). Create operations manuals in Xerox free flow with different paper stock and paper sizes with their respective covers. Create bootable CD and DVDs for the manuals with html and pdf files. Prepare artwork for CDs and DVDs. Scan old books and manuals and convert them to pdf for printing or burning them on digital media. Help print technicians with ICC color celebrations or any print files issues. Perform final quality check before shipping which include filling out a Quality control form for each job. Follow S.O.P’s and G.M.P’s.

February 2011 – July 2013: Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science.

Research technician: Perform stereotactic surgeries on rats and mice and do survival studies. Keep a log of their recovery and behavior changes. Collect tissue to analyze on the florescence microscope (Nikon E600) and confocal (Olympus FV 10i) and take images for further analysis. Perform regular maintenance on the microscopes and maintain a logbook. Maintain written records of conditions used for the experiment and report it on weekly basis to the advisor. Make scientific illustration of biological samples and instruments for posters and PowerPoint presentation, used in lectures, meetings and conferences. Maintain and update the website and the intra-net site for the departmental.

April 2010 – October 2010: NOSCO.

Pre-press technician: Check the received job jackets, print ticket and sticker update proof bag and job files to the new number check the commodity and take the job jacket to plating. Follow S.O.P guidelines. Design Flyers and other promotional items for prepress department.
