Senior Android Developer Gameloft August 10th of 2009 to date Android Tools and Support (from 2012 to date)

In charge of the research and development for new tools and modules used in our projects improving the game porting and development process.

Main contact for Android support for all our studios when developers have bugs in their code, when they can’t implement one of our tools/modules or when a specific device have issues with our code giving generic fixes avoiding at all costs the use of code for specific devices.

Keep the Android and JNI code as bug free as possible by updating legacy modules or replacing them with new ones.

Worked in the migration from ANT to Gradle with developers in other studios.

Test of new features provided in new Android version by checking the preview images and SDK.

Fixing bugs ahead of time for new Android versions, to name a few: Honeycomb had an issue with HTTP connections, changed it to use sockets instead. Implementing immersive mode and low profile menu for Kitkat. Added support for material design in Android Lollipop Adding support for permissions for Android Marshmallow. Disabling the Multi window feature in Nougat (from games POV it’s not desired to play in multi-window) and avoid app restarts when the Display Size is changed.

Worked in the creation of standalone applications for our company and for third party vendors.

Planning the development with designers, eCommerce and business teams in order to provide applications of great quality in the desired time.

Planning release dates for new modules with other developer teams in the world.

Review of all new Android modules and tools created by other teams.

Direct contact with producers to provide fast support in their games. Android Game Developer (from 2011 to 2012)

Adaptation of Android games to work flawlessly in other devices. Some games were developed in Java and used an Android wrapper that makes them run in Android devices and other games were developed in C/C++ with Android code for the communication with the device.

J2ME Game Developer (from 2009 to 2011)

Adaptation of Java games to work flawlessly in other devices. Worked adapting games for a specific device for half a year (HEP team) and then moved to the developing of master builds that the HEP team would use (Publishing team).
