Was doing some ad hoc work for sparrows offshore Australia performing inspections and load tests on the ocean apex on the north west shelf
Sep 2016
Was doing some ad hoc work for john kriek winches in Queensland Australia overhauling a favelle favco M230D for approx a month
Aug 2013 – Jul 2016
Employed by Sparrows contracted to Maersk oil offshore Qatar as a crane tech
In charge of six cranes 2+Favelle Favco, Seatrax, and hydra lift and Leihberr
Using the SAP maintenance program.
Able to read and understand hydraulic and electrical circuits as well as troubleshooting both systems
My job was to keep these cranes running for optimum availability with a high regard for safety.
In charge of all vendors associated with crane third party maintenance.
Aug 2012 – April 2013
Employed by Ronco crane services in kewdale, Perth w.a.
My duties involve truck mounted cranes Franna, Terex, P.M, Kato etc.
Duties inc. service, breakdowns and troubleshooting.
I have installed four new PM43 model cranes onto new isuzu trucks.
Jan. 2009 – Apr. 2012
Employed by Alatas crane services Singapore
Mainly on ship cranes and offshore cranes to troubleshoot mechanical, hydraulic and electrical problems or general service requirements

1992 – 2008
Employed by favelle favco cranes in malaysia as a senior service engineer.
During this time was also based in Thailand and Singapore and Harlington, U.S.A with favelle favco.
As I was working with a manufacturer, I was solely involved with favco cranes, and again involved in all aspects of crane maintenance in various parts of the worlds oil and gas areas.
1989 – 1992
Employed by A-Z Engineering in perth, western Australia employed as a fitter/welder mainly involved in earth moving machinery.
1979 – 1989
Completed apprenticeship with Savage River Mines which is an open cut iron ore mine in Tasmania, Australia as a fitter/machinist.
Training on a variety of earthmoving equipment cat 777, terex trucks d8-10 dozers graders etc.
After completion of apprenticeship I was based in the mill section looking after ball mills, autogenious mills, mag separators, vibrators slurry pumps etc.
I have worked in most of the worlds oil and gas fields either on new crane installations or maintenance works successfully with a high regard for safety during heavy lifting and erection procedures.
Completed add on course in hydraulic engineering at Devonport technical college.
Completed training course in germany on smag grabs.
Completed training course with italgru cranes in italy.
I have a valid offshore safety cert.(bosiet)
I have a valid working from heights cert.
I have a valid gas and BA cert
