Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulation of flow over an Airfoil with flaps.
Designed an airfoil with flaps using SOLIDWORKS software.
Analyzed flow to estimate lift and drag forces over various NACA airfoils.
Conducted pre and post processing using CRADLE software.
Detailed study of Quadra Jet Engine at Tata Motor.
Worked on engines, clutches, wheel alignment, transmission, suspension system, braking systems, heating ventilation and cooling systems, fuel injection systems.
Economic feasibility of solar canopy in parking lots at University of Dayton.
“Sun power” PV Module and the parking lots was selected.
Initial cost and total annual radiation/savings were calculated.
Simple Pay Back period for the proposed module was calculated to be 19 years.
Weldability studies of copper by using Friction Stir Welding (FSW).
Purpose of this project was to find out the optimum mechanical properties of friction stir welding of copper.
Macrostructure, hardness, impact tests were conducted at the welded zone.
At 900rpm tool rotation speed and 40mm/min traverse speed with Square profile resulted in good mechanical properties i.e. fine grain structure is obtained compared to other conditions. Lowest hardness was found at retreating side and beat wean fusion zone and thermo mechanical affected zone.
