Professional Experience

Valley Forge Casino Resort – King of Prussia, PA

Chief Marketing Officer (2014 - 2017)

Orchestrate all aspects of marketing strategy development and delivery for seven restaurants, two hotels, two nightlife venues, an entertainment venue, a convention center and a casino with over 1000 employees and $150M in annual revenue. Leverage omni-channel marketing strategies grounded in analytics and data that drive revenue growth. Manage team of nine direct reports and 50 total employees and a $10M annual budget. Select contributions:

• Created a more responsive and market-driven organization resulting in $25M in annual EBITDA.

• Identified an opportunity within a business segment and increased revenue from that segment 13% in a flat market; mapped characteristics of market segment via market research and database analytics; targeted brand positioning, advertising, and experiential programs to generate revenue growth.

• Led development of a new food & beverage/nightlife concept the Valley Beach Poolside Club; managed capital expenditure, design, branding, pricing, positioning, experience and marketing plan for launch which included an integrated plan of advertising, public relations, digital marketing, community partnerships and social media which resulted in revenue of $600K within the first 4 months.

• Developed an entertainment strategy and launched under the Valley Forge Music Fair brand; booked headline musical and comedic acts that drove visitation and profitable revenue, brand reputation and media exposure.

• Rolled out a new loyalty program focused on bringing profitable value to loyal members through local partnerships, innovative programs and a best-in-market initiative that returned over $500K in profit.

• Constructed a CRM model and grew email acquisition rates from 22% to over 80% saving 25% in direct mail cost.

• Managed a $2.5M advertising and sponsorship budget, utilizing creative approaches to messaging; developed a concept for creative campaign that enhanced revenue activity throughout the resort and oversaw the campaign development through production of a television commercial and various other creative treatments.

Spearheaded vision, strategy and execution of regional marketing in the Chicago area. Managed cross-functional team of four Directors and six Managers, with indirect oversight of 120. Select contributions:

• Reversed a decline in demographic-specific customer base by developing community programs, and targeted new business efforts, among other tactics that grew revenue from this segment by over 12% YoY.

Caesars Entertainment, Caesars Atlantic City Hotel & Casino – Atlantic City, NJ Director of Marketing (2010 - 2012)

Led marketing for a premier property represented by Caesars Entertainment’s flagship brand. Oversaw Total Rewards loyalty program, events and promotions, advertising strategy and direct marketing. Selected contributions:

• Expertly managed signature events including the Atlantic City Food & Wine Festival in conjunction with Food Network, Tribeca Cinema Series at the Atlantic City Beach with Tribeca Film, the season 2 premiere of Boardwalk Empire with HBO and the Caesars Tribute: A Salute to the Ladies of Ice Skating which aired on NBC.

• Cultivated and leveraged third party relationships notable brands including The Pier Shops, Morton’s Steakhouse and Café Tazza resulting in increased volumes and profitability.
