Central Office Technician

My job entailed the installation and turn up of various central office equipment necessary for the conveying of voice and data service for Verizon’s customers. In brief, this involves the construction of cable racks, the running, stitching and termination of DS (1), fiber optics and coaxial cables (wire wrapping, crimping of BNC’S & LCC’S, punch down on krone blocks etc.) My duties also included the erection of equipment bays used to house the various types of equipment.
