ACADEMIC RESEARCH PROJECTS

Manufacturing- Position Control of a 3D printer nozzle using cable robotics

• A novel way of controlling the 3D printer nozzle using cable robotics is developed in this project

• 12 cables and motors were used to accurately control and move the nozzle along the desired trajectory with zero steady state error. Chassis and nozzle of 3D printer is designed in Creo Parametric.

DOE - Control the Amount of Foam in Root Beer Dispenser Using Minitab Statistical Tool

• Developed and designed an Experiment to analyze two samples of beer to reduce the foam quantity using MINITAB

• Performed Regression Analysis and Applied Randomized Complete block Design to analyze the effect of factors

SPC, Quality Assurance-Gauge R & R -Multi-meter measuring 1.5V “D” cell batteries

• Completely randomized samples were collected as per the Gauge R&R check-sheet generated through Minitab.

• Using Gauge R & R (crossed), significance of factors viz. operators and interactions was estimated using their p-values.

• Graphs viz. component variation, X-bar Chat, Run Chart, By Part and Interaction were analyzed for variability contributed by factors.

• As %Study, statistic was estimated as 43.3% and gauge was concluded as unacceptable for measuring batteries and improvements.

Manufacturing - Statistical Current and Voltage analysis in Wire Cut Electric Discharge Machine (WEDM)

• Analyzed input data based on current and voltage given WEDM using Lab View software

• Detection of the number of actual Spark contributing Pulses (High Peak) by applying filter to improve efficiency of WEDM
