One of 3 Nigeria-based subsidiaries of ExxonMobil Corporation.

Project & Facilities Engineer (2002-2005): Provided multi-faceted technical engineering support for the Eket onshore oil and gas processing facility. Oversaw plant surveillance. Troubleshot and resolved bottlenecks. Reviewed and implemented processes to integrate new projects with those of existing facilities. Coordinated pilot tests of crude-oil treating chemicals, and selected those for use in full-scale plant tests.

Selected Highlights:

Managed the $5M revamping of a 500K-barrel floating roof storage tank, completing the project on time and within budget with no lost-time incidents.

Conducted FEED-phase technical research and analysis that contributed to a multi-million-dollar onshore plant expansion.

Contributed to the success of a project that dramatically reduced operating costs and improved efficiency by more than 100%.

Collaborated in the development of new operational processes and KPIs that reduced crude oil tanker demurrage costs by $5M per year.

Reviewed procedures and participated in the commissioning and startup of crude storage tanks in a US $100M, 500KB revamp program.

Well Completion and Operations Engineer (2000-2002): Supplied engineering support, trending all reservoir parameters, for the 45K bpd Oso condensate and natural gas production platform. Coordinated rigless workover operations conducted by Schlumberger to perforate new production zones in non-flowing wells. Performed design, surveillance, troubleshooting services involving equipment, systems and startup of numerous onshore and offshore facilities. Managed the development, implementation and maintenance of process methods for production of deliverables to minimize costs and maximize efficiency. Worked with management to formulate strategic plans and goals. Established budgets; monitored and maintained cost controls. Managed and aligned manpower and budget resources for each project.

Selected Highlights:

Collaborated with Schlumberger engineers to develop a completions plan that allowed well starts within 1 month of offshore installation, compared with the previous IOC that took more than 6 months from installation to startup.

Identified low-production wells and increased production volume by more than 10K bpd each.

Improved wellhead run time from 90% to 100% by resolving shutdowns caused by malfunctioning instrument gas systems.

Facilities and Project Engineer (1997-2000): Participated in the general upgrade of the Qua Iboe crude oil processing and storage facility. Monitored crude oil parameters to observe changes in its composition as well as the effect of pressure and temperature variations. Troubleshot and debottlenecked problems in processing facilities. Oversaw pipeline clearing from pig launching through receiving. Worked with the loss prevention unit to ensure contractor compliance with all company policies and procedures. Conducted daily surveillance of all critical systems to ensure proper functioning. Planned and directed logistics to ensure that all heavy equipment for the project was supplied to the contractor and used in compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Continuously reviewed and updated all engineering process-design documents in conjunction with the Senior Engineer. Oversaw and coordinated onsite work.
