Biostatistician II February 2016 –December 2016 Department of Pediatrics, University of Utah, Salt Lake City
Lead biostatistician for three projects for the Collaborative Pediatric Critical Care Research Network (CPCCRN): Pediatric Intensive Care Quality of CPR (PICqCPR), Microbiome, Virome and Host Responses Preceding Ventilator-Associated Pneumonia (VAP), and ICU-Resus. Lead statistical team meetings. Collaborate with study investigators regarding protocol development, study design, manuscripts, analysis plans, negotiating deadlines, creating tables/reports and resolving data issues. Assisting in development of data collection forms and database testing (RedCAP and OpenClinica data collection platform). Creation of analysis datasets. Statistical analysis programming for descriptive and inferential analyses.
Secondary biostatistician for several projects, including studies in the CPCCRN, Network of Pediatric MS Centers( NPMSC), and Pediatric Multiple Sclerosis and other Demyelinating Diseases(PeMSDD). Provide statistical support and quality assurance for dataset creation and analysis.
STATISTICAL ANALYSIS PROJECTS
Analyzed data on years till relapse after a diagnosis of melanoma with Weibull distribution utilizing statistical software R, derived the MLE using bivariate Newton-Raphson iteration, and calculated the asymptotic variance-covariance matrix and 95% confidence intervals.
Evaluated Apple Inc. stock with regression analysis of time series: ARIMA/GARCH forecasting model. Illustrated the successes and failures of the regression technique by empirical problem sets making extensive use of the software Stata12.
Developed analyses in the Infant Growth Study, a cross-sectional survey of infants in SLC, 2009, using SAS9.4 programming language for data manipulation. Conducted descriptive and inferential statistics of the sample`s demographic and anthropometric characteristics, produced detailed reports and communicated data analysis results to end users.
