My Personal Teaching Philosophy
It is my philosophy that all children possess the innate ability and right to be great and successful in life. They have all been equipped with a special task; an awesome purpose in life that belongs uniquely to them. As an educator, I feel it is not only my duty, but it is also my privilege, to aid and guide my students to realize the vast potential that has been intricately placed within them. That potential is a vault of wealth: mental wealth, emotional wealth, spiritual wealth, and academic wealth. Assisting my students in learning the fundamentals of education and to fully embrace, love, and accept themselves is the combination to unlock that vault.
When it comes to children, I see them as a blank canvas in which a beautiful masterpiece can, and shall, be revealed. As an educator, along with the parents/guardians, WE play the role of the artistic drive, which would guide the students to ultimately form their own aesthetically beautiful brush strokes in life. Partially taken from the eloquently sang words of Lee Ann Womack, I say:
‘In life when my students get the choice to sit out or dance…I WANT them to feel confident enough to dance!’
