First Project
My (application-specific integrated circuit) ASIC experience is FPGA designer and Embedded programming in VHDL and Verilog programming for Online Partial Discharge detector system using FPGA technology, Giga ADC board 3GSPS with LVDS, LCD TFT Graphic Colour module and Magnetic Probe Sensor for my first project. Main program and almost sub program was made by using VHDL program and the other use Verilog program. The pulse signals at the input data sensor in the field when captured by the tri axial magnetic probe have rised times in the range of 1ns to 2ns and very low voltage in the range of -2.7 mV to 2.7 mV. ---PROJECT DESCRIPTION
---This project has two main modules: ADC and TFT module
---ADC module has two modes of operation: screening mode and monitoring mode
---ADC module control clock synthesizer, get 3GSPS signal and scan through the signal
---In screening mode, ADC module continuously captures signal in 1s interval, scan to find any pulse, count the number of pulse and calculate the accumulated charge under the curve of the pulses, calculate maximum value, minimum value and estimate the severity index of signals and send those information to TFT screen
---In monitoring mode, ADC module continousely capture signals for 1s every 5s during 640s to calculate the accumulated charge under the curve, normalize these value and estimate the severity index based on the standard deviation and send the treading curve to TFT module ---
---TFT module control the communication between FPGA and TFT screen using RS232 protocol
---TFT module is to draw the screen, guide the option selection and display all info calculated by ADC module

Second Project
My second ASIC experience is I develop the Online PD detector system from my first project with the new computation using Artificial Intelligence Sytem and Pattern Recognition to detect and get the result for severity assessment for partial discharge detection. The new computation was developed and created as new embedded program in FPGA technology (Xilinx Virtex 6) using VHDL programming.

My third ASIC experience is I develop the Intelligent Online PD Detector System from my second project with the PD Locator system using online GPS system in Arduino board based Microcontroller system ATMEGA2560 and transfer the real time data of severity assessment from FPGA technology to the Arduino board using RS232 protocol and RS232C cable. Then transfer GPS data and severity data from arduino board to the PC or Laptop using WIFI. Then capture the GPS data (X, Y location and height distance) and the severity data to inside the PC or Laptop (Notebook). The Arduino board was programmed by using C language programming and the new program for FPGA board (Xilinx Virtex 6) was developed and created as new embedded program (sub program) in FPGA technology using VHDL programming and the other sub program for RS232 protocol using Verilog programming.
