Intern: Worked with NetBeans, learning about Google APIs: Mobile and Maps.

Objective: Created a mobile application for both android and iOS platforms. The application would allow users to check into and out of hotels if they were within certain proximity. The applications would activity monitor user’s location and search nearby locations for attractions such as restaurants, bars, sporting events and frequently visited places by tourist. The applications would have a built-in scheduler that would allow users to add attractions that are recommended by the application. The application will provide the option to making purchases related with hotel services directly from the app.

Goal: Learn and gain experience with location based services and learn about backend storage of user’s data.

PROJECTS:

Major undergraduate projects dealt with objected oriented design and polymorphism. One such example was designed the game chess using ASCII art. In which the game board and the pieces were objects (either their own class or extensions) and their interactions dealt with polymorphic behavior.

Created a photo gallery application with javafx. This java application allowed users to create albums of photos from photos on their disk as well as add multiple tags to photos. The user is allowed to search photos by either its name or tag values of a photos as well as date of capture.

In Internet Technologies I created a program that replicated bittorrent. The program was function within the school’s subnet. It was capable of seeding as well as downloading video files over multiple peers simultaneously.

In software programming I created a program that implemented FILE commands over the school’s network. Allowing users to use open, close, read, and write file commands on files that were not in the user’s directory.
