Created a NodeJS server application with online functionality. Authenticates users with Passport. Communicates with a Microsoft SQL database.

Increases productivity by about 50%. It improves their business flow by making their pick tickets digital, thereby removing the need for face-to-face communication between customer service and workers; removes the need for workers to write down their progress, removes possible human error when it comes to inventory manipulation after sales.

Also wrote triggers to automate sql server functions, which automates some tasks that the customer service used to have to do.

Intern 06/2014 - 09/2014, 08/2015 – 09/2015

CBC

Internship at a company; programmed a new software in Java from scratch catered to the boss’ needs. Uses JSP servlet pages hosted by Tomcat. Records the time workers finish their task, to prevent workers from slacking off and ensuring customers their orders are completed on time.

Provided the company with more convenience by writing code for their Microsoft SQL server to automate data transactions rather than requiring personnel to perform data entry, improving their business flow.

Built an Enterprise Class Web application with a group of 5 people called Bookmarx; Used NodeJS and Handlebars to manage web browser bookmarks.

Included an account system to manage multiple users. Users could rename, sort, search, and favorite bookmarks in an intuitive interface.

Built a Receptionist Desk helper application with a group of 13 people.

Used NodeJS and Jade to automate the sign in process of helpdesks to cut down on wait times for customers. Added Slack integration to help desk receptionists get notified on Slack when customers signed in.
