DBUMP Process/Equipment Engineer/Senior Member Technical Staff (2002–2005)

Identify principle defects through the analysis of in-process metrology tests & final automated visual inspection defect data. Expose yield loss excursions, research root cause of principle and excursion defects and work with the DBUMP engineering team to reduce and eliminate associated defect losses.

Built fab from ground up, specifying tool set, installing tools, training operators, writing production and maintenance specifications, writing production recipes, yield and defect analysis and process improvement for solder flux/reflow/clean and all fab metrology steps

Designed novel fixtures to allow mounting 200 & 300mm wafers on two metrology tools

Developed a solder bump model to calculate the electro-plated mushroom geometry and verify that the mushroom geometry does not violate DBUMP design rules

Designed & patented wafer separator to protect bumped wafers in shipping, TI PIA
