The POC is to test Integration of EPM with three other tools which is used by Tata Motors for NPD Project. The tools are named as Mint, PLM and SAP. We are using different ways to integrate EPM with the tools.

EPM will contain NPD Project Plan which contains Deliverables and Sub deliverables in which some Deliverable and Sub Deliverables completion is based on the process of data maintained in Mint, PLM and SAP. To complete Integration Deliverables and Sub Deliverables EPM is fetching data from tools and storing that data in Various SharePoint Custom Lists.

For Integrating with EPM. We are using Scheduler (SharePoint Timer Job) which check for Updates in Tools for every 4 Hours and Update Status of Sub Deliverables in Sub Deliverable based on Process in Tools.

We developed an Add In in Microsoft Project Professional. Which will Push Sub Deliverables to Share Point Sub Deliverables List and Update Statuses from List to MSP Project Plan.
