Interiors In Flight, Orlando, FL – June 2014 to January 2017

Acquired by large multibillion dollar corporation in mid-2013, Takata, Interiors In Flight falls under the Non-Automotive Safety Division. Joined during a time of internal change, restructuring, and rebranding for custom interiors manufacturer of private VIP aircraft.

Human Resource Manager – Introduced HR presence for the first time in the company’s existence.

HRIS Technology: collaborated with Payroll and Finance to transition time and attendance recordkeeping from paper to electronic (KRONOS).

Employee Relations: Champion of Company’s open door policy; introduced timely resolution to labor and management issues; strengthened purposeful communications with focus on transparency, retention, compensation, engagement.

Performance Management: Championed creation of new hourly Performance Review schedule, establishing a 90 day review upon hire, and a new annual review format for hourly personnel. Introduced company to corporate level- electronic based performance management system for salaried personnel. Established a formalized onboarding training program for new employees.

EHS Representative: supported Company’s first corporate EHS audit. Implemented Hearing Conservation Program pursuant identified hazardous noise affected areas. Created a visible PPE matrix. Adacel Systems, Inc., Orlando, FL- March 2009 to June 2014

$41.9 million Revenue Company makes speech recognition and control technology software for civil and military aviation.

Human Resources Generalist- Full generalist supporting the administration of all Human Resources functions.

Selection Process: Full cycle of selection and hiring process. Collaborated with staffing agencies for executive hires, direct hires, and temporary hires. Posted on job boards for IT related positions, utilized employee referrals as a strong hiring source. Reviewed job descriptions with hiring managers upon requisition for EEO and ADA compliance, administer background screen using external vendors. Administered reviews of compensation using local and national surveys.

Employee Relations: conduct investigations for employee conflicts, worked quickly to bring issues to close. Work with legal counsel (Shutts and Bowen) on behalf of the company regarding employee relation issues. Administered feedback interviews such as training concerns or on boarding open action items. Administer progressive discipline steps and follow up on completion of action needed to improve.

Onboard/Out process: responsibilities include process all new hire paperwork, use of E-verify system, overview the employee handbook, clarify questions on confidentiality and non-compete agreement, set the proper expectations of behaviors, attendance, dress code, proper report, performance management, and benefits. Coordinate with management to speak on behalf of other departments for New Hire Orientation. Administer severance agreements, conduct exit interviews, and complete the final actions items of departing employee of before leaving the company.

Benefits Administration: Administer annual Open Enrollment, work with Insurance representatives during annual market analysis and educational material for employees of regulatory changes and other benefit education. Administration of Cobra benefits continuation using Ceridian, ADP, and United Healthcare. Meet with employees on FMLA or other LOA needs, administer STD, unemployment, and Workers Compensation claims, work with retirement account for employee seminars, administration of 401k retirement benefits, such as 401k loan, catch-up contributions, forced distributions, or hardship withdrawals and process form 5500 reports and any other discrimination test for a Cafeteria 125 plan.

AAP/EEO/VETS: responsible for properly classifying positions according to EEO-1 job classification guide, creating annual reports and when required for government contract bids; create and maintain company AAP using the Yokum McGee software package.

Safety and Compliance: duties include maintaining all required labor law posters for all 24 states.

Performance Management: administer annual performance reviews, development and implementation and training of performance review process for 4 different styles of employees using Cornerstone software tool. Administer merit increases based on performance rates. Provide counsel and reporting tools for progressive discipline.

Training: Facilitate training sessions for leadership and communication skills, as well as harassment and new tools to employees, such as the ADP payroll portal to retrieve electronic pay stubs.

All other duties as described below in an administrative capacity as needed by my reporting manager.

Human Resource Assistant/ Front Desk Receptionist- March 2009 to August 2011

Handle all administrative efforts concerning Human Resources along with front desk receptionist responsibilities, which include greet guests, assign proper visitor badge for secured facility, manage conference room calendars, order meals for meets, distribute mail, direct phone calls, and create welcome signs for customers and partners on LCD screen.
