Issuing production orders to warehouses to pack, bundle, sticker, or re-jacket books and ship to clients in a timely manner whilst attending to any issues that may arise such as stock shortages or misprints that affect stock levels.
Track inventory/stock to facilitate all orders both current and future. Freeze stock as needed or requested. Alert inventory and sales departments and warehouses of any stock shortages or imbalances and follow up on reprints and reprint schedules that bring books into the warehouses.
Create customized mixed pre-packs for orders and mailings. Assign unique ISBNS. Enter correct metadata, including weights, routing, pricing conditions, batch search strategies and create mint/hurt batches to complete their set-up in SAP database.
Attend bi-monthly pre-invoice meetings for mass market, trade and hardcover titles, and from these meetings pack for open sales orders whilst tracking any incoming stock needed to fill these orders, ensuring that all information including weights, routing and carton quantity are in place.
Using SAP/Quick viewer keep a monthly log of all upcoming titles. Physically receive new book titles for in-house display.
Quality control. From weekly reprint meetings for mass market, trade and hardcover titles, update reprint counters and amend book details, increase or decrease prices of titles as indicated. Change status to either to sell and drop, wait/carry forward, future ARP, unofficial sell and drop or rights reverted. Extend to binderies, and change status from 10 digit to 13 digit EAN as requested, adding notes where necessary.
