INTRODUCTION
At present I assist energy companies with pipeline design, construction scheduling and supervision, project management, maintenance and measurement concerns. I have experience working with large and medium sized owner/producing companies and engineering firms. My strengths are in pipeline and facility project scoping, project management, construction management and operations troubleshooting.
The most recent project was supervising construction activities, surveyors, heavy equipment, excavation activities and personnel to improve private and public roadways over buried utilities.
MOST RECENT EMPLOYMENT
January 2006 to Present – President of Star Consulting Ltd. – construction management, advising energy companies on pipeline planning, construction, estimates, integrity and maintenance planning.
October 2002 to December 2005 – BP Canada Steelman Operations Superintendent including oversight of all capital projects, engineering staff, budget and administrative matters. Scope of operations included 1,000 km of sour gas pipeline gathering system and two gas plants with: gas dehydration, sweetening, compression, natural gas liquids (NGL) extraction, storage and transport by pipeline and truck All projects were delivered successfully with utmost attention paid to Safety, Health, Security and Environmental concerns.
September 1997 to October 2002 - Project Manager - BP Canada, Alberta Pipeline Operations
Responsibility for the technical support for NGL, ethane, propane and butane pipelines. This included daily operations trouble-shooting as well the planning, scheduling and budget control on many capital projects.
Before that I was involved in the development of design standards at NOVA for compressor stations, pipelines and meter stations.
