VA Hosptial - Cleveland, OH - October 2006 to Present Responsibilities

From 2006 - 2010 I worked on a spinal cord injury unit here at the VA, where i did daily vital signs, bed baths, showers, mouth care which consisted of brushing teeth, denture care, and mouth swabs, bowl care, dry sterile dressings, simple and complex dressings, shaving facial hair, combing hair, Q2H turns, answering call lights, Q 1 hr checks, straight cath, inserting foley's, and D'C foley's, reading doctor's orders, daily charting in the CPRS, also i feed vets, dressed, used hoyer lifts, sara lift, and trach care. In 2010 - to prsent i transfered to the Hopice unit, which my duties includes, mouth care, bed baths and showers, shaving facial hair, inserting foley cath and D'C them, feeding vets, Q2H turns, hourly round checks, postpartum care, consoling family members, ect Accomplishments

I accomplished learning different skills such as the ones mentioned above and I've also learned to be a better caregiver and the meaning of "caregiver"
