Operations Manager Simsboro Composites April 2016 to February 2017
Responsibilities and accomplishments include:
-Managing the daily operations and maintenance of a continuous press board line and two value added manufacturing lines.
-Responsibilities included maintenance manager role as the position was vacant. Introduced RCM methods including planning, scheduling, PM rewrites, precision maintenance standards, operator equipment care and Root Cause Failure Analysis.
-Assumed commissioning and startup of a value-added line that was one year behind schedule.
-Modified the line and reprogrammed the control system to raise from less than 30% efficiency, 50% uptime and 70% on grade to over 80% efficiency, 80% uptime and 90% on grade.
-Hired and trained employees to increase staffing from a single shift operation to a three shift operation.

Driving reliability improvements of first the pulp, chemical and utilities area and subsequently the entire mill. Utilizing data from the past three years:
-Implementing precision maintenance techniques reduced pump replacements 47%.
- Precision techniques and aggressive PM program reduced motor replacements 72%.
- Initiating a control group, training technicians, and prioritizing critical equipment raised the COV (time in spec) of the mills control processes 110%.
- Utilizing Root Cause process and killing problems reduced the financial impact of Reliability Incidents 63% from a high of $20.5 mil annually.
- Reduced maintenance downtime the last year 6% on #7 paper machine and 43% on #8 paper machine with deliberate improvement projects combined with PM reorganization.

-Designed and implemented maintenance program including preventive maintenance, predictive maintenance and incorporating it into a Computerized Maintenance Management System.
