Job Description

Carry out visual and dimensional inspection on the materials and ensure that material are free from contamination and un-tolerable damages.

Ensure that Test Certificates are traceable and other relevant markings match to the actual

materials markings and maintained a materials traceability records.

Perform weld visual inspection during shop fabrication & erection on structures.

To review and implement the WPS and witness Welders Qualification Test; and witness Qualification Test.

Monitor proper storage of all welding consumables, check for baking and holding time of all low-hydrogen electrodes, identify and product brand based on project requirement.

Inspection of all fit-up joints base on approved shop drawing and dimension prior to full welding.

Check calibration certificates (welding equipment and all inspection tools).

Carry out Field Welding Inspection on Site as Per Approved ITP and QCP.

Visually Inspect Daily Production Welds and Offer for NDT as per Project Specification and Code requirements.

Check welding machine performance record/calibration together with the qualified electrician.

Performs other duties as may be assigned by QC Supervisor.
