Labor/Maintenance, August 2015 – Present

Beginning duties included maintenance of yard including lawn care and all facility issues. All cleaning of buildings and yard from sweeping, mopping, garbage/waste removal, plumbing, and construction work on site. Daily duties initially consisted of water retrieval for each department and restocking of restroom and breakroom supplies. After the 90 day probationary period duties became more important to shipyard function. Additional projects included engine room and fuel cell cleaning on ships so to pass inspection of Quality Assurance personnel. Chipping away excess paint and slag using chipping hammers, and cleaning up spills and debris. Also aided in the loading of all materials on ships including rope, galley supplies, bunk supplies, all equipment for forward hull, engine room, and captain’s bunk. Responsible for finding any costly errors in welding or paint on ship along with QA personnel.

Responsible for 10 man crew of aircraft cleaners designated to cleanliness and readiness of the cockpit, lavatory, and the galley. In particular wiping down and setting seats and bedding. Also responsible for handling lavatory waste and liquid exchange. In addition trained 20 food prep crew members responsible for packaging, cutting, and cooking of food for pilot consumption. Dishwashing and safe storage of food and produce were also of major importance in my training. Served as head of safety committee responsible for weekly safety briefings of employees; Meetings were held to ensure close adherence to and compliance with OSHA policies and procedures and applicable federal laws. Collaborated with aircraft maintenance and Primeflight area manager to determine best times to clean, stock, exchange lavatory juice. First job I received HAZMAT training on for purposes of dealing with strange packages.
