Junior Specialist
Apr. 2006 - June 2010
University of California,
Center for Molecular and Mitochondrial Medicine and Genetics (MAMMAG),
Irvine, CA
. Conducted scientific research in human mitochondrial genetics, genetic
variation, human population history, evolution, aging, and mitochondrial
medicine with a primarily focus on the role of mtDNA variation in

developing and optimization of clinical diagnostic SOPs for DNA
analysis for the patients with suspected mitochondrial disease;
organized workflow for research part of IRB study, performed molecular
tests optimization and validation; consulted on mitochondrial
haplotyping and interpretation of genetic analysis results.
. Developed, tested, evaluated, and troubleshot new protocols and methods
