Developed a new KrF (LNM) line narrowing module, for stability and higher light energy source - Utilized simulation tools to characterize performance and design margins based on requirements - Zmax and Pro/E.

Worked with an outside development firm to develop a new high capacity F2 (gas) scrubber that greatly increase product life and minimize operational laser downtime due to maintenance schedules; to be installed on all field lasers. Directed the design, monitored progress, provided design validation specifications, drafted installation and replacement manual, developed various interface brackets to meet and exceed requirements.

Provided CFD & FEA support results and solutions to various physicists’ experimentation and exploration.

Developed a mechanism to bend CaF2 in the vertical orientation with displacement resolution of 6000 nm - Utilized FEA to optimize the various parts in the assembly for stiffness and stresses.

Developed a holding fixture to measure and monitor laser gas 'dust' while laser is operational - utilized FEA to determine minimum wall thickness to achieve temperature, pressure and longevity requirements.

PRA-WEB - Took part in research and development of a mechanical means to attenuate laser power from 120W to 60W in 5 sec as well as keeping final laser performance per specifications.

Led first product line to be developed using cross-functional and cross-divisional design teams. Developed PTS-2000 centrifugal rotor that automated a clinical lab's handling of primary blood tube analysis. Performed concept design, stress analysis, final design, and prototype, wrote test specifications and worked with manufacturing to get product to market.

Developed concepts and performed stress analysis on CABA (Centrifugal Blotting Apparatus - Patent Pending) for a technique of transferring biological materials such as nucleic acids and proteins from a separating gel to a membrane via centrifugal forces. Developed prototypes via selective laser sintering and stereo-lithography.

Developed Micro-Plus carriers to benefit scientist and researchers in centrifuging titer-plates used in mapping the Human GENOME project at higher densities and g-forces than other current products.

Improved the continuous flow centrifugation rotor for customer safety, increased product life and ergonomics. Rotor used for purification and harvesting bio-fluids in vacuum at 102,000 g-forces.

Completed and finalized special rotor design HY-SED (hydro-sedimentation rotor used by Battelle in WA) to determine saturation rates in rocks.
