RESEARCH PROJECTS:-
Stability testing of Polyethylene glycol “Anti-clotting” coating
The goal of this proposal was to test the stability of PEG coatings under physiological conditions in an in-vitro test system. My hypothesis is that under physiological flow, a stable coating will remain bound to the surface of blood-contacting devices and maintain their pre-flow “anti-clotting” property.
Made solutions with different using chemical groups: PDMS, Amine group, PEG
Tested samples on machines: UV, XPS machine, FTIR machine, XRF machine, Raman spectroscopy
Data analysis, which components are active on PDMS-PEG from Yale University’s lab and University of New Haven’s lab
