CAREER SUMMARY
WORKING EXPERIENCE
Graduate Research Assistant – The University of Tulsa Jan’15-Dec’16
Developed a simulation tool for Chevron to Predict the liquid entrainment fraction in two-phase annular flow.
Calculated the associated uncertainty with the prediction of liquid entrainment fraction in two-phase annular flow.
Performed the sensitivity analysis of the developed tool for different variables.
Designed an 110 MMscfd natural gas feed processing plant using HYSYS to obtain a defined product specification.
Performed the optimization of the process plant using different design criteria.
Performed the sizing of separators, vessels, compressors, distillation columns, heat exchangers and air coolers.
Performed the utility cost calculation and economic analysis of the plant to obtain the rate of return (ROR) value.
Performed sensitivity analysis of the plant economy for different product prices. Achievement: Based on 1711 experimental data of liquid entrainment fraction, predicted 44% more experimental data with the developed tool for Chevron compared to the best available model in the open literature. Assistant Process Engineer- Super-Petro Chemical Refinery Ltd Apr’13-Dec’14 Super-Petro Chemical Refinery Ltd is a privately owned refinery located at Chittagong, Bangladesh, with a 3000 bbl./day naphtha feed processing capacity to produce Octane, LPG, and Xylene.
Monitored the daily operational process and provided process engineering support for troubleshooting and improving the performance of the process plant.
Involved in startup and shutdown activities of the catalytic reforming unit.
Identified overpressure scenario and sized PSVs.
Performed hydraulic calculations and sizing of pumps and lines.
Involved in the expansion of the reverse osmosis (RO) water treatment unit.
Participated in the HAZOP analysis and provided process engineering inputs.
Implemented HAZOP recommendations in process design and operation. Industrial Intern - Chittagong Urea Fertilizer Ltd (CUFL) Feb’12-Mar’12 CUFL is a state-owned urea fertilizer factory located at Chittagong, Bangladesh with a production capacity of 561,000 tons/year.
Participated a two-month long hands-on training program on the manufacturing process of urea fertilizer.
Submitted a report on the basic design and operation of the process plant. EDUCATION
