OBJECTIVE

To obtain a position as an Automotive Inspector Team Leader.

SYNOPSIS

Since becoming employed with L-3 Communications I have set the standard for attendance and punctuality. Maintaining a perfect attendance record for the past two years, and as my November 2006 Performance review shows I am a team player and an asset to this company with four out of six exceeds expectations.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

With over 20 years experience I have supervised up to 18 mechanics and assigned jobs according to skills. I have also conducted individual and group training sessions to increase overall working knowledge. Scheduled and completed preventive and corrective maintenance on trucks to 25 tons, forklifts up to 10,000 pounds and a variety of heavy construction equipment. I have received awards for sustained superior performance.

ACHIEVEMENTS

Mechanic/Lead Mechanic 2003 – Present

L –3 Communications

As the Lead Mechanic for the 204th STB/11ASOS 4th ID, I was responsible for 10 personnel, supervising and assisting in the preparation of all required records, reports and correspondence, including Time and Attendance records and man-hour expenditures by task accomplishments. Performed the receiving, in process, final inspection and functional operations test during organizational and Third Shop maintenance of all their equipment. Inspected military vehicles to ensure proper repair, rebuild, and overhauls to major assemblies of internal combustion trucks, automobiles and generators. Inspected military equipment to ensure accurately diagnosis the source of trouble and determine the extent of repairs required. Performed random inspections to ensure standards were met. As a Shop Foreman/Mechanic I supervised five mechanics, maintained training and payroll records.

HMMWV Mechanic 2002 – 2003

Diagnose the source of trouble and determined the extent of repairs required; replaced worn or broken parts. Performed initial inspections and final test drives on equipment before final inspection. Completed all required paperwork of assigned work. Verified initial PMCS faults, corrective actions, repair to be on request.

PM Mechanic 2001 - 2002

Midwest Waste

Performed annual and semi-annual services on a fleet of 250 Front Loaders, Roll-off, and Side Loader vehicles. Conducted D.O.T. and brake inspections as required.

Installed/Repaired back-up camera systems. Fabricated custom hydraulic lines for use on all fleet vehicles. Assisted mechanics with repairs as needed.

Mobile Fleet Mechanic 2000 – 2001

Midwest Systems

Provided total preventive maintenance and repairs. Performed on-site oil changes and repair service to commercial truck fleets. Clients included Apria Health Care, Ryder Truck Rental, Budget One Way, etc.
