Job Responsibilities:
Inspection Planning:
Preparation / Review of ITP, QA/QC plan, Procedures, Customer specification extracts & Inspection check lists after receiving of new projects.
Preparation and Qualification of PQR and WPS for various materials like CS, AS (P5, P9, P11 & P91), SS (304, 316, 316Ti) etc..,
Witnessing, Reviewing & approving the Sub contractor’s welding procedure specification (WPS) and welder qualification test (WQT) and also witnessing the related Mechanical & NDE tests.
Qualification of Welders and Welding Operators as per codes & standards, Preparation/Review of Welder’s certificates.
Re-validation of Welder Qualification based on performance in accordance with the Code and Project Specification requirements.
Qualification of Welding Consumables/Electrodes as per codes & standards.
Review sub-contractors PT & MT procedures as per code & customers specifications.
Preparation and Establishment of Welding Sequence and Weld Mapping in various stages of welding of pipelines, vessels and structures.
Ensuring the calibration of all welding machines, ovens, heat treatment machines, measuring and monitoring devices.
Incoming Material Inspection
Incoming material inspection such as;
Raw material (parent material) – Verification against documents, identification and markings of correctness of material.
Welding consumables inspection such as electrode, filler wire, inert gases.
Verify the correctness of the raw materials like Plates, Pipes, Forgings, Fittings and Fasteners as per Purchase orders.
Preparation of IMIR and Review the Mill Test certificates (MTC) for compliance with Codes and Standards.
Physical verification of Raw materials by conducting Dimensional measurements and Visual inspection at receipt.
Prepare Material Clearance Records (MCR) for pressure & non-pressure parts and get it reviewed by TPI/Customer.
In-process Inspection & Welding Operations
Performed Stage inspection like fit-up, Weld visual, Dimensional measurements and Installation of Insulation, etc.., & get it inspected by TPI/Customer.
Inspected Fit-up including material grades, color codes, diameter, schedule, joint configuration, root gap, internal misalignment, length, alignment, rotation etc.., for conformation with fabrication / shop drawings & WPS.
Proficient in interpretation of engineering documents and drawings.
Experienced in fabrication and welding of different material like CS, LTCS, AS (P5, P9, P11, P91, etc SS (304, 316, 316Ti), CuNi etc.
Ensure the correct WPS and Welders utilized on the specified jobs.

Generate punch lists, inspection of all pipeline and equipment based on P & ID
Conduct pre-flushing and flushing of pipelines to the system prior to commissioning of equipments
Maintain all records and prepare reports on operation of equipment and system, take and log reading from equipment during test run
Co-ordination with other disciplines and punch list clearance after mechanical inspection
Perform load testing of lifting appliances (e.g. monorails, pad eye. Etc) and crane, lifeboat winches.
