As an ETL lead, my major achievement was to set up the initial ETL process to support end-to-end pricing solution that helped the field Sales executives, pricing analysts to offer pricing solutions to FedEx customers.
My other achievement was to lead and manage an outsourced vendor and completed a project successfully to convert daily extracts process in Ab Initio.
Successful delivery of an enhancement in SPT helped FedEx save huge cost when pricing its customers. Worked with PM to come up with milestones for this major project to split fuel cost into fixed and variable costs by modifying the costing methodology in SPT application. Developed system requirement, test plan and test cases for the project. Led a three-member team and successfully delivered the project on the planned release date even when there was a demand to shift focus on another critical project during testing phase.
Assumed Project lead role to develop project plan, resource workload, identify critical dependencies, coordinate with external groups to conduct interface discussions for major enhancements like 2-way and 3-way bundle projects.
Apart from main responsibility of ETL process, led development for other supporting Pricing applications like Re-Rate system, an application that helps customer request refunds and CIA application, which is used by Sales AE’s to study the impact of yearly rate changes.
Provided 24X7 production support to all the systems that I was in charge of.
Project Lead for a critical project (alternative feed for a retiring feed) and delivered it successfully without missing deliverable on the other projects already committed.
