I am currently employed by a company that designs, develops, and manufactures thermal and visual imaging surveillance systems primarily for military use; NASA spin-off. Responsible for delivering weekly videoconferencing updates and reporting to top management and owners, as well providing a coach and motivator for production employees. I started as a Kaizen leader teaching root-cause analysis, problem solving, cost savings, and trimming wastes. I was promoted after four months to DPS Coach/Leader (term for our company) which is Continuous Improvement Manager. I am responsible for production scheduling and all continuous improvement activities. I have reset the shop floor layout for continuous flow, successfully achieved goals of both of my completed A3 projects to reduce lead time, and I am currently incorporating our software and engineering employees into using (TPS) Toyota Production System. I have created all standardized work that we have, and display and collect data for KPI’s to track our progress. I have a strong ability to record, interpret, and analyze data. I am leading the ISO certification project for this company by overseeing all process documentation.

I have created the recall program, sanitation program, food safety, and traceability program that the operation currently uses. My focus in this position was: improving efficiency, saving time, cutting labor costs, and improving quality. I obtained my forklift certification and I have a Servesafe Manager Certification. Being an employee for the Distribution Center since its opening I have documented and photographed all jobs, created every job description and have made all positions more efficient and productive through standardizing work. Through my personal interest in 5S and Six Sigma I have made significant improvements and taught employees Lean Principles to use every day while working.
