Description: Opening of a 100 room 4 star full service property in Transylvania with 250 seat main restaurant, wine bar, lobby lounge, meeting capacity of 300. The position also included franchise sale and management contracts. The promoter had to stop the project because of construction cost overages and did not open the property before mid-2012.

Both full service hotels (Hotel Salam 118 bedrooms, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, catering services for 750, banquets for 300, 6 meeting / banquet rooms, 2 tennis courts, outdoor pool and Grand Hotel 92 bedrooms, 2 restaurants, 1 bar, banquets for 500, 4 meeting/banquet rooms, 2 tennis courts, 2 outdoor pools) were supervised by junior managers and my role consisted in developing ways and means to secure the biggest market share possible for the company in order to finance an aggressive expansion plan in West Africa.

Description: The owner of the hotel wanted to open his property without constraints and in the best possible timeframe. The hotel was built on a 18 hole golf course and was a 4* property of 124 bedrooms with full spa facilities including health club, squash and courts, separate meeting and banquet facilities for up to 750, 2 restaurants and one bar.

Position : General Manager
Description : This downtown hotel (converted to independent Hotel Espresso) had an excellent reputation because of its location, its rates and the availability of a large parking structure. It has 145 bedrooms, limited meeting and banquet space, outdoor pool and limited exercise area.
In addition to the positions described above, I have been involved in formal training of
hotel personnel at LaSalleCollege in Montreal (wine service and wine appreciation, bar
service and control) as well as at the Les Draveurs School Board in Gatineau (hotel management and communication, tourism and attractions). I was part of a consulting committee on the elaboration of a university level Curriculum for the hotel management at the Collegio Del Este in Puerto Rico.
I have also held a variety of middle management post such as Catering Manager, Bar
and restaurant Manager, senior Room Clerk, etc. for such prestigious hotel chains such as Hilton International, Commonwealth Holiday Inns of Canada and Hyatt International.
I have been a member of the Ottawa Skäl Club, President of the Ottawa/Hull Hotel
Association, Vice-president of the Montreal Hotel Association and I earned a Certified
Hotel Administrator (C.H.A.) membership in 1994.
