PERFORM VARIOUS CONSULTING WORK FROM TRAINING, INSPECTIONS, AUDITS, RISK ANALYSIS AND SETTING UP MEDICAL CLINIC LIAISONS. WOLF CREEK REFUELING 16 PROJECT, BURLINGTON KS 3/2008-5/2008

Worked on the MSFIS (Main Steam & Feedwater Isolation System), replacing containment coolers. Scope of work involved mechanical installations, tracking work orders, managing dose & qualifications and attending pre-work meetings. I am proud to have served on the Refueling 16 project; it was completed with over 9 million work hours without a lost-time accident.

THE OAK GROVE PROJECT, OAK GROVE TX 7/2007-2/2008

This “greenfield project” presented many challenges due to the existing 30+ year old abandoned infrastructure and equipment. Hazardous materials (asbestos), unskilled labor and extensive work hours was just a few of those challenges. Safety and craft training were a very important aspect of the project. Served as a Millwright apprenticeship trainer as well as providing basic safety training in the Core curriculum. In addition to duties as a trainer, I was also employed as a Journeyman Precision Millwright. Amongst the routine duties of various equipment installations, my responsibilities also included being the crew lead and safety coordinator; as well as ordering necessary tools & supplies. Although I reluctantly left the project before completion due to a family illness, I am proud to state that Fluor won Power’s Plant of the Year Award after completion of the project in 2010.

ZACHRY CONSTRUCTION

RINKER CEMENT EXPANSION PROJECT, BROOKSVILLE, FL 2/2007-6/2007

As a Journeyman Precision Millwright, the common undertaking of equipment installations was my primary role, however I also ordered equipment and supplies while maintaining inventory of parts and QA on installation of components. Utilization of highly precision equipment was required for my commitments to the installation of certain components. In addition to the primary role of Millwright, I also served on a Safety Awareness Board for the jobsite. Those duties included cultivating safety awareness throughout the jobsite on every level of supervision and if necessary enforcement of MSHA regulations.

L-CON CONSTRUCTION

VALERO REFINERY EXPANSION PROJECT, ARDMORE, OK 8/2004-5/2005

The repetitive duties of a Journeyman Millwright were the primary responsibilities during the installation of hydrogen compressors, a Make-up Water System, and several other modifications to an up and running plant. Due to a conflict of safety ethics and professional conduct, this experience steered me to a passionate path of education and ultimately a career change that embraces the use of proactive safety measures to promote a positive safety culture.

FLORIDA GUARDIAN AD LITEM PROGRAM 5/2016-PRESENT

As a Child Advocate Volunteer, I visit the child and keep the child informed about the court proceedings if applicable. Gather and assesse independent information on a consistent basis about the child in order to recommend a resolution that is in the child’s best interest. Reviews records and interviews appropriate parties involved in the case, including the child. I determine whether a permanent plan has been created for the child in accordance with federal and state laws and whether appropriate services are being provided to the child and family.
