SPECIALIZED COURSES
Mechanical Drafting: Inventor and Solid Works used to create detail and assembly drawings of machine parts applying dimensioning techniques and standards including GDT. Created parts lists, section views, specified threaded fasteners and produce working engineering drawings.
Solid Modeling: Solid Works used to create advanced solid geometry for individual machine parts, assemblies, and produce working engineering drawings applying dimensioning techniques and standards including GDT. Create 3D part models and 3D assemblies of machine parts.
Civil: AutoCAD Land Desktop used to create drawings for civil engineering and surveying industry including land development, transportation, public works, boundary and title surveys, residential platting, and right-of-way maps.
Advanced Civil: AutoCAD Civil 3D software used to create surface models and analysis, corridor modeling, site development, grading, road design, subdivision/land planning, utility design using a dynamic model approach.
Topographical Drafting: AutoCAD Civil 3D used to create plotting of surveyor's field notes, elevations, contour lines, plan, and profiles, lying out of traverses. Researched and implemented local jurisdiction design criteria in the creation of a set of residential survey and engineering plans.
Building Codes and Inspection: Examination of the IRC and local building codes and standards applicable to building construction and inspection processes.
Technical Illustration: Autodesk 3D’s Max used to create pictorial drawings including isometrics, oblique’s, perspectives, charts, and graphs. Emphasis put on the designing and creation of solid models, 3D animations, and detailed rendering.
GIS: ArcGIS used to analyze spatial (geographic) datum to solve real world problems. Emphasis put on cartography, data collection, entry, storage, analysis, and output using ArcGIS. The integration of multiple geographic variables to analyze possible construction sites for development and feasibility of desired construction projects.
Architectural/Commercial: Revit used to prepare detailed working drawings for a commercial building utilizing BIM technology, emphasizing accuracy of details and knowledge of building materials to create site plans, foundation plans, floor plans, roof plans, elevations, sections, and schedules.
Structural Drafting: AutoCAD used to create structural systems including concrete foundations and frames, wood framing and trusses, and structural steel framing systems, including detailing of concrete, wood, and steel to meet industry standards.
Integrated Circuit Layout and Design: Cadence Virtuoso/Allegro used in the Linux system to interpret logic gate symbols and schematics of base circuits to construct layouts where DRC and LVS verification where used to ensure physical and electrical construction.
